The Himalayan engine has an exhaust system with two catalysts, one in the manifold and one in the silencer with the result that the exhaust gases struggle to escape freely.

By fitting this de-catalyst you get many advantages, less heat near the right leg, especially the Euro 5 version which has the catalyst mounted at the top, quicker acceleration and improved top end. The sound is pleasant and slightly higher than the standard version (with original silencer). Assembly is quick and easy, the lambda sensor remains in place.

N.B. The installation of this de-cat could alter the exhaust emission values.
